Saturated steam vortex flowmeter flow meter
The application of vortex flowmeter flow meter on saturated steam has many advantages, including high precision,
wide range, high temperature and high pressure resistance, strong anti-interference ability, etc. The vortex
flowmeter calculates the flow rate by measuring the vortex frequency generated when the fluid flows through the
vortex generator in the pipeline. This method has the advantages of non-contact and no resistance loss.
Working principle
The working principle of the vortex flow meter is based on the "vortex effect". When the fluid flows through the
vortex generator, a series of alternating vortices will be formed behind it. The frequency of these vortices is
proportional to the flow rate of the fluid. By measuring the frequency of these vortices, the flow rate of the fluid can
be calculated. Specifically, when the fluid passes through the vortex flow transmitter in the pipeline, two columns
of vortices proportional to the flow rate will be generated alternately up and down behind the vortex generator.
The release frequency of the vortex is related to the average velocity of the fluid flowing through the vortex
generator and the characteristic width of the vortex generator.
Installation and maintenance
The following points should be noted when installing the vortex flowmeter:
1. Keep away from vibration sources and electromagnetic interference: Try to install it in a place away from vibration
sources and strong electromagnetic interference, and use a shock absorber if necessary.
2. Straight pipe section requirements: The front and rear straight pipe sections must meet the requirements of the
vortex flowmeter, and the inner diameter of the pipe must also be consistent with the inner diameter of the vortex
flow transmitter.
3. Vibration influence: When the vibration is large and cannot be eliminated, the vortex flowmeter should not be used.
Application scenarios
The application scenarios of vortex flowmeter in saturated steam include:
1. Steam boiler: Used to monitor the saturated steam flow at the boiler outlet to ensure the efficient operation and
safe operation of the boiler.
2. Industrial heating equipment: Used for saturated steam flow monitoring in heating equipment to ensure the
safety and efficiency of the heating process.
3. Heat exchanger: Used to monitor the saturated steam flow in the heat exchanger to ensure the safety and
efficiency of the heat exchange process.
4. Steam network: used to monitor the saturated steam flow in the steam network to ensure the normal operation
of the network and save energy and reduce consumption.
